Rock the Cradle Nursery

Here we have little Ashleigh, who was reborn from an Ashton Drake doll.

One of my first ambitions when I started reborning was to get to a level where I felt confident to tackle this beautiful doll. I really wanted to be able to do her justice. The Ashton Drake 'So Truly Real' dolls are made of silicon vinyl and they are a whole different reborning experience to the standard blank kits. They take a lot of elbow grease to remove the factory colourings, but it certainly is worthwhile as she makes an adorable reborn. An added bonus is that she is a realistic size too. I just love her little scrunched up face and cant wait to reborn another, but being a collectors doll she is very expensive and becoming increasingly difficult to find.

I do try to use the highest quality mohair for rooting my babies, as it looks far more realistic.
